At 4:30pm the night before St. Patrick's Day I thought to myself "I should have a party tomorrow". YES. Have a party. Who needs sleep? With less than 24 hours notice all my friends showed up in their green clothes, with a green snack to share. How great are they?
I told the kids with all the rain we'd had there must have been a rainbow and a pot of gold left somewhere in the park. And sure enough, they found one!
Those silly leprechans!

Trick-or-Treat party
I'm not a big fan of Halloween. I can't stand the witches and ghosts, the skeletons and bloody masks, and especially the tombstones. Gross. But Halloween doesn't have to be all graveyards and chainsaws. Don't forget about the black cats, spiders, and most of all, the cute orange pumpkins!
This year I had a little trick-or-treat party for my kids and their friends. We ate taco soup (our new favorite dinner), tacos, burritos, bean dip and then went on a major sugar binge. It was great.
Except that my 2 year old was wide awake until 1:30 am.
Yikes.
