Vintage Fire Station Birthday

A couple of weekends ago my friend Jennie's little boy Bennett turned 3. Jennie contacted me in August about Bennett's party and dessert table. I had a wedding booked the night before but since a fire station party has always been on my "want-to-do" list, I said yes.

A great big thanks to the Arlington Fire Department for letting us use their station to hold the party. We set up fort in one of their bays, with fire hoses as my table backdrop, and a vintage fire truck for the kids to play on. All the kids had such a good time.

Happy 3rd Birthday Bennett!!

Kelsey & Eric's Ice Cream Shop

Last weekend I had the pleasure of creating a super fun dessert table for Kelsey & Eric's wedding at Novelty Hill - Januik Winery in Woodinville. When Kelsey first contacted me about doing a table she said her fiance really liked ice cream and mentioned doing some ice cream cone cupcakes she had seen in the spring issue of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine. Instead of just making ice cream cone cupcakes I suggested an entire dessert table with an Ice Cream Shop theme. They loved it!

Thanks Kelsey & Eric for letting Jenny Cookies be a part of your special day!

Celebrating with The Everett Clinic

The Everett Clinic was named The Best Large Company to Work For in Washington State, by Seattle Business Magazine. After seeing the celebration they treat their employees to every summer, I can see why!

A whopping 1725 cake pops were ordered to thank each and every employee of The Everett Clinic, in addition to a gigantic barbeque they put on. What a fun company to work for!

Down on the Farm: Hudson turns 3

Hudson turned 3 this month, which I still can hardly believe. It feels just like yesterday we were bringing a tiny little 6lb baby boy home from the hospital. That tiny little baby boy has grown into the busiest little guy on planet earth. His sweet face, those big brown eyes, that raspy voice, oh he melts me....

Happy 3rd Birthday Hudson Ray!

We celebrated his birthday farm style, sending invites out in burlap bags, tied with red bandanas for each child to wear to the party. The barn was empty besides three picnic tables so in order to set the stage for Hudson's barn party, two giant truckloads of furniture, crates, apple baskets, wood boxes, tables, and other random things found buried in my garage were brought in. I made gigantic accordian circles to hang above the dessert table and attached a vintage milk bottle top to the center of each. The cake was set on an old pie delivery box and cookies/cupcakes/pies on vintage trays. Animal cake pops stuck out of mini bales of hay. Flowers were placed in vintage milk bottles, and all food was served in old red and white enamelware. The kids played dueling games of drop the clothespin into the bottle, raced through a corn maze, fed goats, pigs, chickens and lambs, had feather extensions added to their hair, and ended with a very competitive sack race in burlap bags. Guests were sent home with homemade strawberry-raspberry jam, goodie bags filled with farm animals and farm themed candy, baby chicks, and egg cartons filled with mini cupcakes.

A big thanks to Foster's Barn for having us!
